Pregnancy

The choice of being childless for this woman I interview was not easy. This woman is my best friend who has been married for 3 years
She has finally accepted the fact that she will not have kids this is still not a easy thing for her.
It was not a one time decision. She had to made up this decision after seeking help everywhere. She told me when she was young she was not ready to have kids so she had performed abortions most of her life. The last time the doctor reminded her that "Do you know that there is a possibility of you not having kids" ? She said "I did not care at that time because I did not want the baby at that time but now I want one so bad but I can't have one". I brought the fact that why didn't you use protection ?. She made it clear that using contraceptive pills was not easy because you have to see a doctor and that was not easy since she grew up in West Africa. Traditionally there is no use of contraception. She said the pregnancy where due to accidents occur mostly by using withdraw method. She is now one of the women who are against abortion because of the damage that it has caused to her.

Contraception

The decision to use contraceptive measures is a women choice once she is single Once another person is involved for instance boyfriend or husband ,then it comes to be a decision of two people. The planing of family and avoid of unplanned pregnancy are the sources that drive women to engage in either taking pills or patches or using inject able medications in order to protect themselves. Although the religion believes that require a women not to have a child before marriage is another reason where by people decide to use pills
Most religions do not allow sex before marriage , some do not allow the use of contraceptive measure. But the concept of no kids before marriage is explained by religious leader's and traditional leaders as there should not be any involvement of sex between unmarried couples. But we decide to keep the same concept of " no kids before marriage" by trying to use contraceptive measure while keep having sex. Once the accident of pregnancy happens that is when couples decide to get married if they are not planning to give the baby for adoption or abortion.
The traditional reason that may make a woman to use contraceptive measure is to keep her respect. A woman who is not married and doesn't have kid is respected traditional than the one who have kids and not married. Although most women now they raise their kids by themselves

SEXUAL EDUCATION

Teaching is the only way that helps a person to understand what is going on. This is the only way were by knowledge is transferred from one person to another.
Therefore I think sexual education should be taught in nation’s pubic schools. When this knowledge is given to these kids they will be able to understand more about their bodies .By teaching most students will know how to protect themselves form diseases like STD and also from pregnancy.
Although there is a cultural difference all over the world about sex education. Some parts believe that teaching them will make the situation to be worse while other’s think that teaching will help to solve some issues like teen pregnancy. For instance in Africa most schools do not teach sex education due to the fear that if will cause more problems to teenagers’. Also I think other sexual behaviors are just adapted by individual as they live close to the one’s who practice the habit. The issue of bisexual and heterosexual is a habit or a knowledge that a person can create or adapt from other’s . “I am not trying to offend any one who practice different sexual behaviors than normal this is my opinion.”
